While I haven't used that screw on version, I have used the that same driver in the counterfeit KSN1025a (2x6 horns). These just don't sound as good as the real Motorolas.

For quite some time the real KSN1142a was not available... until now. Martin Sound now has these back in stock, made by CTS, the real deal with the Powerline protection circuitry.

The Dayton H110 11.5" x 11.5" horn really sounds smooth with the real 1142a. This is Parts Express 270-300. But it also sounds good with some smaller horns.

I have a writeup on using piezos, how to add an L-pad, and how to crossover at higher frequencies if so desired.

If you haven't purchased a horn lens yet, or cut any holes, consider the same driver in the CTS KSN-1165a. This is also available from Martin Sound.

Again, I have tried the counterfeit piezos in the past and just was not impressed.
