To tell you the truth, I haven't really put a lot of time into comparing different CD transports. I used to have an EMM Labs setup, and it was better than the Oppo of course. But I think the Oppo is pretty darn good especially for the money, and spending a small amount on it frees up money for something else - like another speaker project.
