I have line arrays consisting of Eton 5.5" woofers and Fountek ribbons and have often wondered about adding a similar centre channel for multichannel SACD/DVD-Audio and home theatre. I have a large pull-down screen for home theatre viewing and thus a centre channel cannot be the same as my very tall arrays.
Options as I see it are:
1) Shorter array with similar side-by-side woofers and tweeters
2) Short array with centre tweeters flanked on either side by woofers
3) Normal longer array laid out horizontally (perhaps tweeters on top and woofers below

Any opinions welcomed.
